Frustrated, apologies in advance for any tone. I'm a fan of Adobe and am sure my current challenges are due to my ignoranace and not something missing in Adobe's processes.
I am attempting to install Adobe Acrobat.
I created the package from our Admin Console as a managed install, all options disabled. This produces a zipped build and exceptions package with a setup.exe in /build. Running the setup.exe fails with error code 19, conflicting apps. There is no pop up that details the specific applications. There are no specific dependent apps noted in pdaapp.log except the failure on code 19 as:
08/31/18 14:30:39:009 | [FATAL] | | ASU | MSIInvoker | MSIInvoker | | | 16600 | The return code from the Adobe Installer Process is (19).Stopping the installation process.
The KB for this says: "Close all apps or reboot and try again." That does in fact clear the error for us. Unfortunately, this isn't a workable solution for us in an Enterprise environment. We need to be able to force or ignore, which I think used to be an option for the offline cloud packager (I didn't see this in the online cloud packager).
The detailed KB for this says: "Modify conflictingprocesses.xml from /build." There is no conflictingprocesses.xml file that is created in the build folder when using the online packager with the options I selected.
Also, just because I'm frustrated and want to vent about it, when the CC app runs for the first time before install completed, it's crashed explorer on 4/5 versions of Windows we have tested it on.
Also x2. The install package for the CC app (required) + Acrobat was almost 4GB unpacked. Dude.
