Re: How to get creative cloud to "see" apps installed by Creative Cloud Packager

Hey Zoe,

Did you install the apps via the Creative Cloud Packager?

If you did, you're right, changing the Default Location to /Applications didn't solve all our issues either - here's what we had to do in the end:

  • Download the latest version of Creative Cloud Packager (important)
  • Run the app to create your installer
  • Click to change the Custom settings
  • Make sure "Admin users update via Adobe Update Manager"
  • Make your package and reinstall all your apps

Unfortunately you have to reinstall your apps which is painful.

It's a shame Adobe doesn't let you configure a download package taht conatins your chosen apps from the Adobe site - then you could avoid this app altogether (which seems to be aimed more at IT professionals and large site deployments).

Anyway, when we re-created the package and reinstalled, all our issues went away.

Hope that helps.

Cheers

Ben
