Not sure why, but Adobe usually recommends that the installers run on the same drive where the product will be installed. You may want to try this. Also, I've found it helpful to sometimes turn off silent mode for initial testing and debugging. Finally, if you can put the install in a simple batch script, the variable %errorlevel% report the error codes.
