Please follow these steps to fix the issue.
Windows:-
Open Task manager and look for AAM Update notifier. if found Please End the task and try updating the apps using Creative Cloud Desktop Apps.
Mac:
Open Activity Monitor and choose All Processes at the top corner.
Look for the AAM Updater Notifier and quit the process. Try updating the Applications.
Please Remove Adobe Application Manager and use CC Desktop Apps only if you are using Win 7 and above and Mac 10.7.4 and above
