Hi all!
I'm worrying about a Creative Cloud deployment. Adobe's prerequisites seem to be "...Microsoft SCCM, Apple ARD, or JAMF Casper Suite". Unfortunately we don't have either.
But we have a MS Active Directory with Group Policy processing when our Win7 Professional client computer are powered on.
So, I ask you is there a way to deploy the Creative Cloud packets using Microsoft Group Policy without other tools then the Exceptions Deployer?
This is what I have in mind:
Within the same Group Policy I would like to use the Microsoft Software installation for the .msi packets. Unfortunately there is no way to define a CMD script to run but at system start.
BUT you can select to run a PowerShell script as the FIRST or the LAST action within the group policy object.
Example:
Create / define a new group policy for -say- Acrobat CC installation. Payload installation for Adobe Acrobat is required by Adobe to be run first. This requires to start Exceptions Deployer from within a PowerShell script and define to run the script at first action in the group policy object. Once it's done, I would run the .msi installation of Acrobat from within the \Build folder after the payload is already in place. The .msi installation could be done with group policy's own software deployment feature.
What do you think? I have no clue of Power Shell scripting but I have no other hope to get a solution so please help if you have any idea how to do this.
Best Regards
