i am trying to install two things here.  i am using sccm 2012 R2.  so i need the cmd file part for both of these.

1.  Adobe Reader DC. i have ran the adobe customization tool and have a mst file.  so what is my command for that? i also want the command to remove the older version of adobe reader that's installed.

2.  Adobe Create cloud that i used the adobe packager to build.  i want to be sure and install everything i picked i the package including acrobat.  what is the command for this?

Install Reader with an MST

msiexec /i <path\filename.msi> TRANSFORMS="filename.mst"

To uninstall

msiexec /x "c:\filename.msi" /q

http://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/AdminGuide/cmdline.html#silent-uninstall s

Obviously change 'filename' for the actual name of your MSI and MST file.

2.  Adobe Create cloud that i used the adobe packager to build.  i want to be sure and install everything i picked i the package including acrobat.  what is the command for this?

Syntax

setup [--silent] [--ADOBEINSTALLDIR=] [--INSTALLLANGUAGE=]

Syntax example:

setup.exe --silent --ADOBEINSTALLDIR="C:\InstallDir" --INSTALLLANGUAGE=fr_CA

Location of setup.exe:

[Package]\Build

I made CC packagers using the deployment tools - the same packager has worked fine for other installations.

I think this student opened up creative cloud and it never recognized the deployment package and it started a trial instead.

So we tried to clean out and re-install but since then its been without success.

Thanks. The relevant part in the log is:

05/12/16 14:11:59:764 | [FATAL] |  | ASU | DeploymentManager | DeploymentManager |  |  | 2572 | The return code from the Adobe Installer Process is (37).Stopping the installation process.

Error 37 translates as "Validation failed. (Binary in the package may have got corrupt.)".

More details here.

Two things I would try. Firstly build a new package. Secondly ensure that the package is 32 bit. This error can occur if trying to install a 64 bit package on a 32 bit Windows environment/

Just for curiosity, If you extract AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe you'll see a file named ProdInstallList.xml where it contains removable software by the tool.

I'm having the same problems. InDesign CC 2015 32 or 64-bit installing on Windows 7 sp1 64-bit system(s) failing at end of install using a variety of bundled CC app packages or stand alone InDesign packages. Only InDesign: Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver and Acrobat all install via packages without a problem.

Once I've installed the Creative Cloup App and or other Creative Cloud apps, I can download and install InDesign via the Creative Cloud app, but again, not through one of six new packages I've built. I have recreated the problem on three Windows 7 computers. We'd prefer to deploy using packages.

So, building a new package doesn't solve the problem, and the problem is not a 64-bit package on a 32-bit system incompatibility, as our systems are 64-bit.

Since it can be installed via the Creative Cloud app, it looks like a package builder problem with at least InDesign. (If InDesign is in any of the package, the package fails. Take InDesign out and the package works.)

Update to my earlier post: after building another 64-bit InDesign package and deleting all previous components of CC on one Windows 7 64-bit system, I did get the 64-bit InDesign package to install on a Windows 7 64-bit system. However, all previous attempts, and new attempts, to install the 32-bit InDesign package under Windows 7 64-bit have failed. We were attempting to install a "more reliable" 32-bit version under our 64-bit systems, but it appears the InDesign 32-bit package is what is unreliable on a 64-bit system.

Thanks for the tip. I had to extract AdobeCreativeCloudCleanerTool.exe and use ACToolMain.exe < INPUT.TXT

--removeAll=CREATIVECLOUDCS6PRODUCTS - Removes All Creative Cloud

--removeAll=CS6 - Removes CS6

--removeAll=CS5-CS5.5 - Removes CS5 and CS5.5

Thanks!

OS 10.9

outdated Creative Cloud Packager

- deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/CCP to resolve errors getting updated CCP version to launch

Then same log results as NASADeploymentsETLA for my first two packaging trials (language: English - North American)

- deleted ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater

- cleared disk space (had about 65GB free) 235GB free before packaging

No problems on the third trial - worked like a charm.

Thank you for that reply. While it might the expected behavior for Adobe and the support document you linked to, all of the other 32-bit packages we've built run on our 32 bit and 64 bit Windows 7 installations without incident. It is only just recently the InDesign 32-bit package wouldn't install on the 64 bit system. Maybe we were just lucky, but I'm guessing Adobe pushed a patch in the past two months that broke what we expected, and brought it the installer in line with Adobe's "expected behavior." Possibly with the updated package installer.

I've been supporting Adobe products since 1991 and was VAR selling Adobe products for a period of time, but I've never experienced the level of glitches, hiccups and unexpected behaviors with Adobe products that I have since rolling out the Creative Cloud apps, PC and Mac, this spring. I got used to v 1.0 (or 2.0, 3.0 etc) of programs having problems, usually waiting for v x.0.1 or v x.0.2 to fix the problems, but the rolling releases and rolling updates for the CC apps are problematic for professional support staff.

Again though, I acknowledge 32-bit packages for 32-bit systems and 64-bit packages for 64-bit systems, and thou shall not mix the two "bits." Thank you.

Need to install an older (specific) version of InDesign CC (using adobe packager)

We have a problem at work.
We have an adobe enterprise license and we are installing Adobe CC using the Adobe packager.
It turns out a thrird party plugin to Adobe InDesign CC only works with version 11.2 while the current version offered when we do a package is 11.3.
Is there any way to get a specific older version installed while using the Adobe Packager?

Installing CC package on MAC

We have recently signed up to CC and have created a basic and a "design" based packages for both Windows and MAC. The windows ones work fine but the MAC one fails. It worked on a brand new MACMini but will not on any of our students MacBooks. We have run the CCClean tool but this does not get rid of all the installed components. We have been through and manually uninstalled, restarted, run the tool again, tried the package installer again - no joy. There are no error codes just "The Installation Failed. The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail......" We have been through the logs but there is nothing conclusive there.

Is this a known issue and could someone shed some light or give direction.

Thanks
