I so apologies for missing this thread.

As per the logs i see error code 12029 which is a connectivity issue.

That error translates to ERROR_INTERNET_CANNOT_CONNECT

You need to white-list all ports and urs listed in this Link - Adobe Creative Cloud Network Endpoints on your server.

Then run a fresh Sync and recreate the overrides file.

Once that is done, please deploy the Overrides file to end users machines and then then try updating/installing there apps.

Dear community,

dear Rohit,

 

it works now (even if in the log file are messages signed with (FATAL, ERROR). So why this messages are still inside the installation process, is for me still unclear and i don't know, where they could cause a problem - but installation is now successfull.

 

Solution: We switched of the firewall - (to easy solution)

 

I'm still interested in the FATAL/ ERROR messages

Creative Cloud Desktop App Update Failure

I am very frustrated with the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application not updating. It hangs on the download constantly. We get either error 201 or 207 over and over again when I attempt to update.

 

We’re a business so I’ve worked my way through Adobe support documents and forum suggestions to no avail. We cannot use the typical suggestions of “disable your firewall” or “turn off your antivirus” or “make sure your security software isn’t blocking it”. Well, we could but our company attorney is going to want Adobe to tell us that in writing and assume all responsibility for liability in case our customer database is breached.

 

The problem is that Adobe releases an update to the Creative Cloud Desktop App which promptly locks my users out of font access, stock photo access, etc., until the update is performed. Except the update always errors out.

 

We’ve set up an internal Adobe update server per Adobe Support’s suggestion which works great for all the application updates EXCEPT the Creative Cloud Desktop application; that one still requires going to Adobe to download. Plus it has to be performed on each individual system that has Creative Cloud installed.

 

Adobe has direct download links except they don’t seem to be updated in a timely manner. The Creative Cloud Desktop application wants to update to version 4.4.1.298 and the direct download link on Adobe’s site is still pointing to 4.4.0.294 two days after the update was released. That method works great, when it’s updated, as I can do one single download and then install it across the network to all the affected systems.

 

If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them because this is frustrating me to no end.

 

Please Adobe, work with us! Update the direct download links as soon as an update is released or allow our local server to handle the updates to the Creative Cloud Desktop application!

Interestingly enough, logging on to the Adobe FTP site shows that the Macintosh version of the Creative Cloud Desktop App (4.4.1.298) was posted on Feb 14, 2018 but the Windows version still hasn’t been posted as of this morning. I know the two versions may have been released on different days but the Desktop App started bugging my Windows users a couple of days ago and we still can't download it.

Aakash_joshi what error message do you see in your PDApp.log?  Which Adobe application are you attempting to install?

Hi Aakash_joshi,

 

Adding to jeff's comment , location of PDApp.log -  C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Temp

If you still have issues finding it , run the Adobe Log collector tool and share the logs with us via drop box or Google drive public link.

Hi Suerl,

 

As per the logs i see error code 127, which means Unable to extract files. Retry to download the product again.

 

 

Seems like the installation failed for InCopy at the first try however succeed after trying to install it again.

I have tried three  different browers (Safari, Chrome and Firefox). Tried from another Mac and tried from two different iPhones and I still can't find a chat window. I don't have any security software installed that I know of.

 

Please send a direct link or show me a print screen of where to find the chat window. I still can't install more than one Adobe program (Indesign).
