Adobe Cloud Libraries 'Unable to connect to server' and Fuse 'error:0 Unknown' issues

$

Myself and my team use Adobe CC in a corporate environment.  The cloud functionality has never worked;  the software has been reinstalled several times and our IT department has carried out numerous network tests to identify whether there is a port blocked or network filtering, however they have exhausted all options.  I've tried using different cloud accounts but to no avail.

The Cloud Libraries panel in each app state:

'Unable to connect to server' and display the CC cloud icon with an 'x' in said panel.  The apps still work fine though (AND I AM LOGGED IN :-)

Adobe Fuse works up until the point it's trying to send to Photoshop cloud libraries and then I get:

Upload Error Upload failed with error 0: Unknown error (0)

[2018-01-17 14:23:44.345]

Interestingly, the Adobe CC Cloud desktop app does work and I can upload files to that and download from another computer no problem.

Any ideas, please?

How to deactivate the Trial Apps in Creative Cloud „Apps“

Hi,

Please tell me how to deactivate for all users in Creative Cloud „Apps“ the Trial Apps.

I have to prevent them from generating network traffic.

Might use this… “C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\Configs\ServiceConfig.xml”

But how?

Thank you!

As far as I can see it is - but I'll see what else I can find out for you tomorrow.

Adobe Creative Cloud, constantly signing out, please STOP!

So it's really getting old, I manage 17 computers at my office and Creative Clouds is signing out constantly from each computer, so I'm being asked repetitively to sign everyone in, it's really frustrating and annoying that I have to do this... why can't it just have a selection to check in the preferences to say signed in?

And yes, I've tried all the fixes suggested on the forum, and it still does it. There is obviously a problem here that needs to be addressed by Adobe. We pay top dollar for this suite and I don't have the time to keep dealing with this everyday all day long.

PLEASE ADOBE, fix this issue.... not everyone in the world using this is a single user where this wouldn't be that big of a deal...

Hi Lilmorsel ,

1. Windows or Mac ?

2. How frequently does this happen ?

3. With how many users are you facing this issue ?

4. Have you noticed any specific behaviour as in when it happens , may be after a restart or something ?

Hi oOLukasOo ,

Unfortunately, there is no way to disable the Trial apps, rather you can disable the apps tab completely.

In that case end users will not be able to install any new application unless IT team does not jump in and deploy the applications for them.

To disable Apps tab please you can either do it manually by navigating to

  •

    Navigate to the following location(Windows): C:/Program Files(x86)/Common Files/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/(macOS): /Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/Configs/

  •

Locate and open the serviceconfig.xml file in Notepad (Windows) or TextEdit (macOS).

In the serviceeconfig.xml file, change the value of AppsPanel from true to False.

Else,

Create a new package with no apps included and while creating the package uncheck the option Show apps tab.

Note - You don't need to include any application apart from Creative cloud desktop application which will be included by default.

Hi ecjj ,

Greetings.

I see error code 190 for InDeisgn and Adobe camera raw.

Can you try and recreate the package again and then deploy it , make sure you skip Adobe Dimension and Adobe Experience design.

Hi, rpandita - thanks for the reply.  I'll check with IT about the points you've made, although i'm pretty sure we're not on a 0GB plan as i'm able to upload and download files using the standalone Adobe Creative Cloud app.

Can you tell me where the asset syncing enabling / disabling is set, please?

Here are screenshots as requested - using Adobe Photoshop as an example (but Cloud Libraries across all apps display the same message):

You can see i'm logged in:

...but Cloud Library shows error:

It is still a registry edit but fairly simple and works.

(from How do I remove the 'Creative Cloud Files' folder from my PC? last page)

Open RegEdit:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace
Here there are the names of your virtual devices (on the Cloud)

In my case 2 keys appear, one for "OnDrive" and other for "Creative Cloud Files".

Click on the chain that belongs to Creative Cloud, press Delete.

Is that so, that's sad.

Cause I wanted to give them the opportunity to update any Adobe application by them self.

In this case I will deactivate the Creative Cloud for all users.

I will deploy the demanded Adobe application only, without Creative Cloud - apps panel. Admin Console:

Create a Package --> Managed Package --> “Creative Cloud Desktop Options” --> “Show apps panel” disabled.

Please keep me up to date if you are going to implement this feature for Creative Cloud customization.
Until then i have to use the Remote Update Manager.

Rohit Thank You for your respond.

Regards

Lukas

Hello and thank you for your input. I do not see Adobe Dimension and Adobe Experience Design as options to be selected.

The totality of the selections are comprised of:

Photoshop CC 19.0.1

Illustrator CC 22.0.1

InDesign CC 13.0

Camera Raw CC 10.1

STI_Color_CommonSetRGB_HD 1.1

Where am I missing dimension and design?

Thank you again

uninstalling AFTER running Creative Cloud Cleaning Tool (oops)

This was my mistake, I guess.

I was removing a few 2015 editions of CC from a PC workstation in order to install the 2018 editions. I thought I could simply run the cleaner tool to remove everything and start fresh, but I should have read the instructions more closely -- apparently I need to uninstall the apps first before using the cleaner tool.

After installing the 2018 editions, I noticed that the 2015 editions were still there, but now Windows does not recognize that the apps are installed on the PC anymore and does not show them on the Uninstall screen. At this point, can I just drag them into the Trash, or does it get dirtier than that. To avoid confusion for the user, I need to remove these so they are not confused by the two versions. Also, I would prefer to not have to "reinstall" 2015 editions over the top of the existing installations and them properly uninstall through Windows.

If I can make a suggestion, I wish Adobe would supply a text file version of the directions for the cleaning tool along with the tool itself. It would be much easier to review the process when we only occasionally use the product.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Namajack,

As you have mentioned you would like to uninstall CC 2015 versions apps from the machine, however you don't see the apps listed in the windows control panel anymore.

Just to confirm have you tried uninstalling these apps through the Creative Cloud desktop app as well ? If not then please try, see: Uninstall or remove Creative Cloud apps.

Let us know if this helps.

The 2015 apps don't appear there. When the 2015 editions were first installed, we did not package then with the Adobe Cloud Desktop app. These apps were installed as a device license package, and I had planned to install updates via the Terminal app, but that did not work as I had expected: it only updated the apps to the last versions of the 2015 spec of the software, not replace them with 2018 editions, so I recreated a 2018 package with the Creative Cloud Desktop app, but that does not recognize they exist on the machine, even though I can launch both 2015 and 2018 editions of Illustrator.

Oops, not Terminal but Command Prompt. This is occurring on a Windows 10 machine.

Thanks for the reply Rohit,

1) We are on Macs

2) It happens pretty much every day when we come in to start the day. Creative cloud is logged out and we have to re-sign in.

3) Every user... 11 of them pretty regularly...

4) No nothing out of the normal, pretty much every day when the computers start up for the day...

These machines are all up to date with the latest system software and latest versions of applications, all machines are really clean and don't run third party applications except for some of the usual Extensis Suitcase Fusion font manager (latest version) and some Logitech mouse software, very basic machine setups because it's easier to manage and find problems with the systems. This is a full functioning design studio and I've personally been using the main Adobe graphics programs since 1989, so I'm not new to this game and know how these programs should function...

We've done all the suggested fixes, repairing Creative Cloud desktop app, re-install Creative Cloud Desktop App. Uninstall the entire suit including Creative Cloud app and re-install. Sometimes it seem like it will work, but then a couple days later it's logged out again.

Anyway, thanks for the help and replying...

Jason
