Re: Creative Cloud for Teams applications reverted to trial on home PC

Hi,

Try the following

  1. Ensure you are using the correct Adobe ID - if added to the Admin Console as Federated ID or Enterprise ID make sure you are choosing the 'Enterprise' option when logging in.
  2. Sign out and sign back in to the software by going to Help>Sign Out
  3. Make sure you are connected to the internet
  4. The opm.db file contains cached user login information and deleting this file is a useful troubleshooting step. Once deleted a fresh file will be automatically created when you launch Creative Cloud and log back in.
    • Close the Creative Cloud application.
    • Navigate to the OOBE folder.
      Windows: [System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
      Mac OS: /Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE folder
    • Delete the opm.db file.
    • Launch Creative Cloud.

Enterprise user requires phone support

Hi, I have a user within our company that requires support on an issue that he's having with Premiere Pro and Audition. The only contact method I can find to obtain support is to post on this forum, the user has a disability that make it difficult to post on forums, is there a way he can have phone & remote support?

Hi,

To contact support please use one of the following options.

Creative Cloud for Enterprise - from the Admin Console go to the support tab to open a case. Phone and chat options are also available here.

Creative Cloud for Teams - from the CCT Admin Console go to the Help tab for chat and phone options.

Alternatively please https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Please note the users contact details in the case that you submit.

I actually have already tried deleting the odm.db file (I just did it again, but no change).

I am definitely using a valid login as I can successfully log in and out of my account on my other home PC (which is just a room away).

SCCM/ REMOTE UPDATE MANAGER

How would you kick off RUM from SCCM to multiple machines? Is there a silent switch also?

Success!  Deleting all of those folders and reinstalling the applications as recommended in that "CC revert to trial" thread proved to be the key.

At first I thought I was going to have to reinstall my CS6 Production Premium suite because I was getting configuration warnings after deleting those folders, but, once I successfully ran Photoshop CC, my CS6 applications started working again.

I'm so relieved.  Thanks!

AUSST issues

Hi,

I've got an internal AUSST server that pulls updates directly from Adobe and I want my endpoint clients to pull the updates from the internal server using the overrides file created in the Creative Cloud Packager tool. However, I can't seem to get the endpoints to pull from the server, and they can't access Adobe themselves so we're currently unable to use Creative Cloud in our environment.

I opened a support call with Adobe, but they closed the call saying I'd not responded within 24 hours, despite me having responded within three hours and sending the files they requested via email.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks.

Tom

I am using windows 10 and I need a silent switch to run the RUM from SCCM.

Like example  remoteupdatemanager.exe /quiet or /qn /q

Hey there Rohit, so follow up on your recommendation and I do not see any XML files that are being shows in the information sheet. I have a Single install of Photoshop CS6 that I am trying to uninstall.

Hi Bani,

Thank you for your help. It turns out there was a problem with the IP address which was blocking any updates to my computer. It is now resolved and I was able to download the latest updates.

Khala

Where are Premiere Pro and After Effects 2017?

Hi All,

So, I went to create a new distribution for the "old" 2017 apps, and in CC Packager, when checking "Show Archived Versions" both Premiere and After Effects 2017 are missing. Heck, Premiere 2015 is also missing. I just see "Premiere Pro CC" and "Premiere Pro CS6".

This is on both Mac and PC, both running the latest Creative Cloud packager (1.13). I can't find anything that documents why this would be the case, or any workaround.

Thanks!

Customer care, chat and phone support did NOT resolve this issue from what I suspect is incompetence and lack of any real training on Adobe software and support.

I was transferred 8 times on the phone (132 min) and 3 times during chat (47min) to different departments who could barely speak English and none of which could manage to follow simple conversation flow such as following links or reading. I found this forum post and wondered if anyone was able to resolve the problem.

I asked them to read this page: Adobe Licensing Website | Serial numbers, orders, and accounts

told them that this page: https://licensing.adobe.com/

shows the error

"Adobe Licensing Web Site  - Adobe does not recognize you as an authorized user of this web site. Please contact Adobe

for assistance."

Adobe may make good software, usually... but their support is awful. I think we should get together and boycott their products for 1 month to send a message to management about how truly poor customer service has been. It's always been that way and good lord it needs to change. LOL do we need to unionize against these corporations to get them to be responsible with customer support?

Is there anyone at Adobe or the community who can answer this?

Hi Tom,

Sorry for your troubles.

""I've got an internal AUSST server""  - Did you set it up, were the required steps followed - Use the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool (AUSST)

Have you already deployed the overrides file on all Client machines ?

Deploying client configuration files

To deploy the client configuration file for the Adobe Application Manager Updater on each client machine, you must write the correct platform version of the file to the following platform-specific location:

In Windows XP:

\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

In Windows 7/Vista:

\ProgramData\Adobe\AAMUpdater\1.0\AdobeUpdater.Overrides

\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\UpdaterResources

In Mac OS X:

/Library/Application Support/Adobe/AAMUpdater/1.0/AdobeUpdater.Overrides

Hi Again,

When you call RUM, it does run silently though from command line.

I am sorry , but i am not sure if that is what you are looking for ?

Hi Rohit,

Yes to both questions. I followed the guise and I have deployed the overrides file to client machines.
