First, it was 10.13.5, and now 10.13.1 but the code 112 stays unchanged
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
Hi,
I can confirm that currently there is not a mechanism to automatically log out a user from a CC instance.
Normally the solution to a lab/classroom environment is to use either serialized deployments or device licenses. Serial numbers are only available for enterprise ETLA customers by exception. Device licenses license the device rather than the user. You may want to speak to your Account Manager to see what your options are to use those.
We are looking at a new licensing model for education which will address these issues which is currently scheduled for early next year.
One thing you can do regarding deployment is to disable cloud synching when creating a package from your Admin Console. This will prevent a new user assets folder being created each time a user logs in to the machine.
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
Alister,
Thank you for your reply. Our plan is a Enterprise plan shared amongst a few school districts in my area. I was told that we cannot do device licenses and that serial number licenses are being discontinued all together.
Can you confirm that device based licensing is not eligible for Enterprise plans?
When Adobe ends serial based licensing will device base licensing still be an option along side with user based licensing?
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
Hi,
It really depends on what is in your agreement, and it is true that Device licenses are not normally a part of an enterprise ETLA. Serial numbers are, as you say, being discontinued.
We will be bringing forward a new multi-user lab license early next year which will give the benefits of named user use (access to services and storage, ease of administration) with the ability to use in a lab/classroom environment.
This is being piloted in October - let me know if that is of interest to you.
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
The multi-user lab license is of interest to me. I would love to be able to use the user based features with my students and teachers and have them available on all the computers they could possibly use.
Based on this I am wondering if I should just use the Serial licensing for my labs for first semester this upcoming school year and re-evaluate licensing options late fall or early winter. I forget the date that serial licensing is ending but I believe it is not until early to mid 2019.
Re: Error 183: AdobeAfterEffects15AllTrial
Hi alisterblack, thank you for help! I am the sole owner of my personal PC. However, the installation still failed in the exact same way, even after I launched Creative Cloud as administrator.
The error contains:
FATAL: Error (Code = 183) executing in command 'RunProgramCommand' for package: 'AdobeAfterEffects15AllTrial', version:15.1.1.12
FATAL: Error occurred in install of package (Name: AdobeAfterEffects15AllTrial Version: 15.1.1.12). Error code: '183'
WARN: Program "C:\adobeTemp\ETR38C2.tmp\1\support\keyfiles\CustomHook\win\InstallMsi.exe" failed with exit code: -1073741515
Is that due to any incomplete removal of trial software or Adobe internal conflict? How may I solve it?
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
Hi, I can forward your details for the pilot program. For your existing serial number make sure that your own serial number does not expire before the end of serials generally.
Re: Named Licensing on Multi-User Computers
Yes that would be very helpful. I would like to discuss this with my boss and the rest of my tech team before we make a final decision. I spoke with our Licensing rep and we do not have any device based licensing available in our Enterprise agreement.

Hi,
I have started that request so hopefully you should hear further in the next few weeks.

Internal Update server preference - Admin Console
Hi All!
We have ourselves a mixed mac and windows environment, with adobe products on both.
So, to make updates easier, i set up AUSST on our windows based deployment server, publishing the content via IIS, but i'm now a little confused when it comes to setting the internal update server in the preferences section of admin console. It looks like you're restricted to using the contents of one override file, which are OS specific.
Am i right in assuming that if i copy the windows override file to this then mac packages made via the admin console will not use the internal update server?
Licencia de equipo instalada
Buenas tardes,
Saludos cordiales

CC Packager - No Internet!
On Mac running High Sierra 10.13.5
I have logged on to admin console and downloaded the CC Packager, the packager installs but when i select "Creative Cloud for Teams" i get the "Please connect to the internet and retry" error message.
I have cleared the hosts file, checked to make sure that i can access the activation sites, (ping and Pong etc)
I have also tried with a non fire-walled connection to the internet but still the same.
(I can connect and run the packager ok from a windows 10 pc so firewall etc is not an issue)
Many Thanks
Nick

iframe auto-play
I am using Adobe Connect to host a short video and then using an iFrame to link back to that video. My problem is that the video auto-plays when my site comes up. Is there a way to turn off auto-play? Or, is there code that should go in the iFrame to stop the auto-play?
Thank you,
mgamble
