Verifying AUSST setup

It says in the AUSST setup guide to verify the setup by checking that the clients are able to download the updaterfeed.xml file can be downloaded. But this file does not exist and I have done the initial sync of AUSST and ran multiple incremental syncs. Does anyone know when or if this file gets generated anymore? Looking at an older AUSST server I used to have the AUSST logs show that the updaterfeed.xml files are downloaded almost immediately, its the first thing it does. But it does not show this in the new AUSST version 5 logs.

Thanks

I know one Company have one VIP Number.

But can't a single contact owner have multiple VIP numbers?

Team licence with occasional users

We are a small company with 16 employees.  We currently have a team membership with 2 Creative Cloud licences and 5 Acrobat Pro DC licences which are all allocated to specific users.  However, we have some members of staff who need very occasional use of the creative cloud apps, and so do not want to purchase additional licences for this purpose.  Please can you advise the best way to manage this situation?  Ideally it wouldn't involve an administrator having to deactivate one user, and activate another each time we want to switch between users.  We understand that we cannot have more than 7 people accessing Acrobat, and no more than 2 users accessing the other creative cloud apps at any one time, but it seems very cost prohibitive to have to purchase additional licences for occasional users.

Hi,

The documentation states:

As a simple test to check that the web server is running correctly, check that the updaterfeed.xml files on the update server can be accessed from browsers on the end-user computers. Essentially, you need to ensure that the web server is working, independent of the Adobe Update Server Setup Tool.

The updaterfeed.xml files are located at the following path, determined by the parameters in the overrides file:
http://<Domain>:<Port>/<URL>/updaterfeed.xml

For example, let us assume that the override file has the following entries:

<Overrides>

    <Application appID="webfeed">

        <Domain>http://serverabc.example.com</Domain>

        <URL>/ausst/webfeed/oobe/aam20/win/</URL>

        <Port>8089</Port>

    </Application>

    <Application appID="updates">

        <Domain>http://serverabc.example.com</Domain>

        <URL>/ausst/updates/oobe/aam20/win/</URL>

        <Port>8089</Port>

    </Application>

    <Application appID="webfeed20">

        <Domain>http://serverabc.example.com</Domain>

        <URL>/ausst/webfeed/oobe/aam20/win/</URL>

        <Port>8089</Port>

    </Application>

    <Application appID="updates20">

        <Domain>http://serverabc.example.com</Domain>

        <URL>/ausst/updates/oobe/aam20/win/</URL>

        <Port>8089</Port>

    </Application>

</Overrides>

In this case, the location of the updaterfeed.xml files are as follows:

http://serverabc.example.com:1234/Adobe/CS/webfeed/oobe/aam20/win/updaterfeed.xml

Software tag is not installed

We are useing Creative Cloud Packager to make the installation file for Adobe CC. Then we distribute it with SCCM.

On 50 % of our computers the software id tag is created in the the standard location for win7/10 %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\regid.1986-12.com.adobe. But on the rest of win 7/10 computers only the folder is created not the swi tag file. Have we missed something when we created the installation packaged in CCP?

As i understand the Software tagging in Adobe Products it should create the file when Adobe CC is installed or runned for the first time. I've tryied to installed for ex. Publiser CC but the file is still missing.

Creative Cloud Installer doesn't start

Hi, I'm trying to install Creative Cloud on my new laptop, a Lenovo T480 running Windows 10 Enterprise build 17763.348.

I have downloaded the Creative_Cloud_Set-Up.exe file from Adobe site and start it. At this point, UAC asks for permission, the installer begin to run and then .... nothing happens.

I can see in Task Manager the Adobe Installer process running, but I get no visible screen. I installed successfully other times on other machines the suite the and I know it should appear a GUI to progress installation.

The only difference with other successful installations I made in the past is that the admin user is an Active Directory user with admin rights (so no local admin is present).

Is there any log or thing to check in order to understand where and why the installer is hanging?

Many thanks in advance.

Thanks, kglad. I followed procedures. Really there wasn't anything to uninstall or clear, because the installer can't show any gui and was not able to proceed in the installation.

The only thing I can't do is to create a local admin account for Windows, due to the company policies.

I'm forced to use the Active Directory account. Anyway this account has the admin rights and is fully functional.

I repeat the installation attempt, but with the same results: the installer begin to run and then .... nothing happens.

I can see in Task Manager the Adobe Installer process running, but I get no visible screen.

Any idea?

Is there any log to check?

Regards.

ask your it department to install.  there's almost certainly some limitation on their computer blocking installation.

Right click on Creative Cloud setup file and select Properties.

Check if there is any unblock button , if yes click on it. then try to install by running as Administrator.

Adobe Stock and Enterprise IDs

Dear Adobe Team,

currently we have a team of 7 people who are using the creative cloud abo with an enterprise id.

We now would like to use adobe stock with either credits (1500) or a monthly subscription (750 pricture / month).

Is it possible to purchase an adobe stock subscription with an adobe id and create users inside the adobe stock dashboard that use an enterprise id, so the adobe stock API inside CC software can still be used with the enterprise id?

Kind regards,
Martin

I use Adobe Account do control all licenses for my company.

Before 1 week my account was updated and some licenses have dissapeared.

I have 36 licenses total but now i can see only 12 licenses.

The users that use these licenses (dissappeared) got message that the license has expired.

I already spoke with support and they told me that they will check it...

But the users can't work now..
