Help Needed: Egress IP's not Recognized

I get the following Error message when I try to open a CC app on a lab machine. Federated ID's and on shared (lab) machines.

"Sorry, your sign-in doesn't match the IP range of your assigned lab. Please contact you IT Administrator"

The ip address of the lab machine has been listed under Egress IP's for the shared device configuration

Thanks for the reply. I followed that document to verify AUSST, however there is no updaterfeed.xml file. I have since found out from opening a support case with Adobe that that the updaterfeed.xml files are only generated if you run a sync with AUSST and use the --legacyUpdates switch. So the documentation regarding this to is incorrect and will be updated.

I have no issue with Explorer being shut down as much as it not restarting automatically at the end of the install.  Surely there is a way to force Explorer to restart consistently.  I currently need to CTRL+ALT+DEL and launch Explorer manually at the end fo the install.

Hi,

Setting an egress IP range is not mandatory. It is an optional step.

If you do decide to use them then the egress IPs need to be the external or public IP address, not the machine IP or internal address.

Hi,

Your Stock entitlement and Creative Cloud entitlement would need to be attached to the same ID (Adobe/Enterprise or Federated) in order to access your Stock images within CC libraries.

For Enterprise ETLA accounts you can have Stock added as a plan.

For VIP accounts speak to your reseller.

Hi,

Not every application will have a SWID tag created - only those that were previously part of the Creative Suite. You mention installing Publisher CC - but I am not sure what application you are referring to.

That does not appear to be true in this case...

"Edit Permissions for Default Creative Cloud All Apps for K-12 - Shared Device configuration

User Access Policy

Machines cannot access Adobe applications and services outside of the defined Egress IP addresses or IP ranges"

"Manage Creative Cloud All Apps: Shared Device License

How to set up

1 Review Profile Permissions

Make sure the access policy and egress IP ranges are right for your organization. If everything looks good, move onto the next step."

I have installed and run the following programs Adobe Photoshop CC 2019, Adobe Illustratror CC 2019 and Adobe Indesign CC 2019. None of them have created the SWID tag.

We block file downloads that are considered risky at our firewall.  I'm having issues updating creative cloud though, and I believe it may be blocking the download.  Our security policy dictates that we can't do an any/any rule to allow downloads, so I need to find out what the specific file types are for the packages that are being downloaded for Creative Cloud.  Anyone have any ideas?

are you talking about program installations?

file sync'g?

font sync'g?

and do you have an enterprise/team license?

Program installs for this particular situation.  I believe it's an enterprise license, but I'm not positive.  I'm the network/firewall person, so i'm just trying to make sure the users can get what they need...but I do know we've got a few people using creative cloud.

Hi,

Thanks for the additional information. I understand that CC 2019 applications which use a new licensing system, will not create a SWID tag - however I am checking this with our engineering team. If you have leftover serialized licensing on your system you may be picking up the SWID tag from this on some systems. For license management you can refer to the Admin Console.

Migrate to Shared Device license

Does anyone know whether I can migrate my Adobe CC Teams Devices one at a time to Shared Device licenses, or do I have to go through the "Migrate" process and migrate all devices in one go and ensure they are all updated within 30 days?

Despite the wording in the admin console indicating that Egress IP addresses are required as part of the user access policy, it turns out that they are in fact, optional! If they are listed then all machines must be WAN accessible which is not possible for a school lab environment.

Removing any and all IP addresses from the Egress IP address list, removed the IP address error message.

Hi,

thanks for your reply!

So as you mentioned: For Enterprise ETLA Accounts there can be added Adobe Stock for Teams (750 photos / months) as a plan.

Is there the possibility inside the enterprise admin console to configurate which user has access to Adobe Stock and can download images? Or is Adobe Stock for Teams available for all accounts?

Kind regards,
Martin
